Achieving life goals is a great pursuit and when someone succeeds, it is worth mentioning. Tom Latham of Homeworth, Ohio, had two goals in life. The first was to retire accident free after more than 50 years of transport trucking, which he completed. The second was to be a train engineer. Latham fulfilled his second goal when he drove the old #97 steam locomotive from Essex, to Deep River, Conn., and back. The trip was a 50th wedding anniversary gift from his wife, Kay. Farm and Dairy was honored to go along for the ride.
