SALEM, Ohio — The publishers of Farm and Dairy, a regional leader in auction advertising since 1914, have created a new website for auctioneers and auction lovers: GimmeAuctions.com.

The site is designed for those who attend auctions of any kind — estate, antique, equipment, household, real estate or farm auctions.

“GimmeAuctions.com is a network built to bring auctioneers and auction attendees together through more than just traditional print or online advertising,” said Jordan Roberts, manager of the newly launched site.

Those looking to attend auctions can quickly view upcoming auctions, search for specific items, visit photo galleries and receive maps and directions to area auctions.

“With these features, GimmeAuctions.com is doing things no other auction website does,” Roberts said.

Social network

GimmeAuctions.com reveals itself as a community for auction attendees — a social network that allows people to interact with each other and keep tabs on their favorite auctioneers.”

Users of the site can comment on pending auctions and even ask questions directly to auctioneers. Additionally, they can follow their favorite auctioneers and receive notification of newly created auction postings.

Free to use

The site is free to auctioneers who post advertisements and to those wishing to view them. No registration is necessary to view auctions online, but users who do register will have more enhanced features at their disposal.

Auctioneers can post feature-rich auction advertisements with minimal effort.

“It’s an exciting time for the auction business and we are pleased to offer this new site for auctioneers to market themselves to the public,” said Farm and Dairy Publisher Scot Darling.

“By reaching over 95,000 readers each week, Farm and Dairy remains an excellent choice for print advertising. Our companion website, farmanddairy.com, is doing nicely and showcases auctions as well, but now seems the right time to introduce a product solely dedicated to promoting auctions.”

“We are going to push hard to get auctioneers noticed online,” Darling added.
