Ingredients:

  • 6.5 oz. feta cheese, crumbled
  • 8 oz. gouda, grated (9 ounce)
  • 8 oz. Extra Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 egg and 1 egg white
  • 3/4 cup self raising flour
  • a splash of milk
  • freshly ground pepper
  • all-purpose flour for dredging
  • vegetable oil for frying

Directions:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and season with ground pepper. Cover the bolw with plastic wrap and let sit in the refrgerator for 45 minutes to help the mixture firm up and make it easier to roll into balls.
  2. Form the mixture into little cheese balls (this recipe is enough for 28-30 cheese balls) and dredge in some flour shaking off any excess.
  3. Heat some oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry cheese balls until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to allow to drain excess oil.
  4. Place the fried cheese balls on some kitchen paper to absorb the extra oil.
  5. Serve the cheese balls while still hot with a squeeze of a lemon. Enjoy!
