Ingredients:
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- ½ lb. lean ground beef
- 14 oz. jar pizza sauce
- 1 med. green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 med. red onion, finely chopped
- 1 sm. can mushrooms, drained
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 pkg. sliced pepperoni
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. Parsley flakes
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Cook and stir ground beef, onions, green pepper, mushrooms and garlic powder in a skillet over medium heat until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Remove from heat; stir in pizza sauce until well combined.
- Roll dough on a lightly floured surface into approximately a 6-inch-wide-by-12-inch-long rectangle; transfer to a rimmed baking sheet.
- Arrange pepperoni in the middle of the rectangle, and then spoon desired amount of sauce mixture over pepperoni. Sprinkle mozzarella over mixture and fold each half of dough in over fillings; pinch the ends together to seal.
- Cut slits in the dough, brush with melted butter and top with Italian seasoning and parsley.
- Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cut into pieces.
