Ingredients:
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t. ground white pepper
- 1/2 t. paprika
- 1/2 t. sugar
- 1/4 t. dry mustard
- 1/8 t. ground turmeric
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1/4 t. onion powder
- 1 C. flour
- 20 to 25 large mushrooms, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 C. buttermilk
- 4 T. butter
- 2 T. vegetable oil
Directions:
- Combine the salt, pepper, paprika, sugar, mustard, turmeric, garlic powder, and onion powder with the flour.
- Dip the mushrooms in the buttermilk and roll in the flour mixture.
- Melt the butter with the oil in a saute pan or skillet and saute the morels until crisp and brown on all sides.
