Ingredients:
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Half a stick butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- A saucepan
- A buttered 9×9 pan
Directions:
- Pour milk into a saucepan, then add sugar, butter and a pinch of salt. Mix for a minute, then heat to a boil while stirring vigorously.
- After about 5 minutes, take a small sample and see if it forms a soft ball in cold water: if it does remove from heat, then add peanut butter and vanilla. Beat until the contents are creamy and pour into the buttered pan. Cool in fridge.
- A “chocolate” variation of this recipe can be made by adding two tablespoons of cocoa before boiling!
