Reader’s Recipe : D. Flinner of Canton, OH
Ingredients:
- 1 chocolate cake mix
- Eggs and water (as per box mix)
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1 tub chocolate frosting
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- Chopped peanuts for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour a 13″ x 9″ x 2″ baking pan, set aside.
- Prepare cake as directed except omit oil, add peanut butter.
- Pour batter into pan, bake as directed. Cool completely.
- Mix chocolate frosting and peanut butter until smooth; frost cake.
- Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top if desired.
