Ingredients:
- 4 pounds kielbasa smoked sausage
- 1 28-oz bag sauerkraut, drained and rinsed.
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onions
- 1 teaspooon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 15 oz. can of tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter cut into smaller pieces
- Line a large slow cooker with a liner or spray with cooking spary.
- Place the sauerkraut in the crockpot. Add the brown sugar, minced onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and tomato sauce on top of the sauerkraut and mix to combine.
- Cut the kielbasa into bun length pieces and place on top of the sauerkraut and put the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the kielbasa begins to split.
- Serve as is or with sausage rolls to make sausage sandwiches topped with sauerkraut.
