Yield: Makes 5 dozen.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp. orange juice
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
- In a large bowl, blend butter and sugars. Beat in milk, orange juice and egg; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Add flour mixture to butter mixture; blend well. Stir in cranberries and nuts.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper-lined baking sheets.
- Bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
