Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt or pepper, to taste
- 16-oz. can diced tomatoes
- 16 oz. can tomato sauce
- 15 oz. kidney beans, drained
Directions:
- Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in 3 qt. saucepan until ground beef is browned; drain off fat if necessary.
- Add green peppers, celery, chili powder, diced tomatoes & sauce, and salt and pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Add kidney beans, heat to boiling; reduce heat to simmer, uncovered 15 minutes or until hot.
