Black Forest Cake

  • 2 21 oz. cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving
  • Directions:

    1. Heat oven to 350 F. Spray bottom of 13-by-9-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
    2. Spread pie filling in baking dish. Top with dry cake mix; gently shake pan to distribute evenly.
    3. Pour melted butter over top, tilting pan to cover as much of top with butter as possible.
    4. Bake for 45 minutes or until mostly dry on top and bubbly around edges. Cool 45 minutes before serving.
    5. Serve warm with ice cream. Store loosely covered in refrigerator.
