Baked Fish Packs

Ingredients:

  • 2 flounder filets, or choice
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil or parchment paper
  • 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, sliced, optional
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Directions:

  1. Gather all ingredients. Preheat oven to 400 F. Rinse and pat filets dry.
  2. Rub filets with olive oil and season with garlic salt and black pepper. Place each filet on a large sheet of aluminum foil or parchment paper that has been sprayed with nonstick spray.
  3. Top with jalapeno slices and squeeze the juice from the ends of the lemon over filets. Arrange remaining lemon slices on top of filets.
  4. Carefully seal all edges of the foil to form enclosed packets. Place packets on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, 15 to 20 minutes depending on size of filets.
