History. Fifty years ago, three brothers — Howard, Richard and Paul Baird — along with their sister, Helen, started the sawmill. Today, President Paul Baird continues working the day-to-day operation, along with his sister Helen Perrine and Margot Baird, wife of the late Richard Baird.
And a second generation remains just as committed to serving the region. Family members in the business include: Mark Baird, Matt Baird, Scott Baird, Terry Baird, Tim Baird, Lori Baird Burdette and Carol Workman.
