SALEM, Ohio — Sandra Jean (Hawkins) Minett, 70, of Salem, died March 17 at her home. She was born May 24, 1943, in Salem, daughter of the late George Webb Hawkins and Mary Josephine (Hudson) Hawkins.
She was a customer service representive with Columbia Gas Company. She had also worked at Lincoln Place Apartments as a leasing manager, at the pre-school at the Salem Presbyterian Church, as an aide for the Head Start program and as a receptionist at Copeland Oaks.
She was a former leader of the 4-H, a 1961 graduate of Salem High School and a member of the Salem First Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her mother, of Salem, she is survived by her husband, Ed Minett, whom she married June 10, 1966, their children, Matthew Edward Minett, of Salem, Susanne Michelle Searl of Cuyahoga Falls, and Mark Edward Minett of Columbia, SC; siblings, Carol Souders, of Niles, and Barbara Hawkins, of Chippewa Lake, Chippewa, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jo Zehentbauer.
Services were held at the Salem First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.
