BERLIN CENTER, Ohio —  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 19 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad St., Canfield Chapel, for Richard M. Noble, 90, of Berlin Center, who died Feb. 14, 2016, at Copeland Oaks.

Noble was born Aug. 27, 1925 in Youngstown, a son of the late Charles Edward and Clara Hartzell Noble.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and had been a carpenter for the local union and also a farmer.

He had shown draft ponies at local fairs for more than 75 years.

Noble was a member of Berlin Center United Methodist Church, the Berlin Center Historical Society, the Ohio Welsh Association, Mahoning Valley Pony Breeders, the Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritan Club, and the American Legion Post #76 of Sebring.

His wife, the former Marjorie E. Stryffeler, preceeded him in death.

He leaves two daughters, Barbara S. Noble, of Berlin Center, Martha R. Noble-Cain, of Covington, Ohio; two sons, Thomas E. Noble, of Berlin Center, Mark R. Noble, of Canfield; two sisters, Evelyn Obenauf, Margaret Jones, both of Sebring; and three grandchildren.

Besides his parents and his wife, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Noble and Wilbur Noble.

Friends may call on from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 18 and for one hour prior to service Feb. 19 at the funeral home.
