WAYNESBURG, Ohio — Oscar Trbovich, 87, of Waynesburg, passed away suddenly June 8, 2015, at his home. He was born in Waynesburg, a son of the late Daniel and Mildred (Perich) Trbovich, and was a life resident.
Trbovich was a 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School. He was a retired employee of the Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Co., and had been a long-time, self-employed farmer, and also owner-operator of Sandy Valley Sanitation and Ace Roll-off.
He was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the farm bureau. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, George and Nick Trbovich, and Anne Marino.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. (Wells) Trbovich, with whom he celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2015; three daughters and two sons, Kathy Pontones, Anne Nixon, Bev Chiavari and Dan Trbovich and Oscar “Okie” Trbovich, Jr., all of Waynesburg; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Maxwell and Millie Sickafoose, all of Waynesburg, and Helen Hahn, of New Philadelphia; and one brother, Sam Trbovich, of Wayneburg.
Services were held June 13 at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Fr. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating. Interment in the Sandy Valley Cemetery.
