NEW SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — More than 50 trucks, including a monster or two, led the procession from Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home to Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine after services were held Sept. 29, 2010, for Matthew Timmins.
Timmins, 22, of New Springfield, died in an automobile accident Sept. 26, 2010.
He was born Nov. 3, 1987, in Salem, the son of Scott L. Timmins and Patricia J. Dilworth Timmins Wilson. A graduate of Springfield Local High School, he was a lifelong resident of New Springfield.
Timmins, an avid truck enthusiast, was a working equipment operator with Local 18 of the Operating Engineers.
Timmins was a member of the Mahoning County Sportsman’s Club, and Jak’d.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Chris Wilson, with whom he resided; his father and stepmother, Susie, of Darlington, Pa.; a sister, Lindsey, of home; maternal grandfather, Pat Dilworth, East Palestine; paternal grandmother, Arlene Timmins, Darlington, Pa.; step-grandparents, Harvey K. and Ann Wilson, New Springfield; and Jeanette L. Wilson, East Palestine.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Patricia Dilworth; a grandfather, Robert Timmins; and a sister, Trisha Timmins.
