SALEM, Ohio — Clarence E. Lease Jr., 80, of Salem, died at 11 p.m. Jan. 5, 2015, at the Essex of Salem III.
He was born March 24, 1934, in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late Clarence and Elsie (Gidley) Lease.
He was a 1952 graduate of Salem High School.
Lease was a beef and crop farmer on his farm at home. He was employed at E. W. Bliss for 28 years as an assembler, Salona Supply Feed Mill Company in Salem, and Bricker Farms for 40 years.
He attended the Greenford Christian Church. He was a 4-H adviser for at least 20 years and a member of the Winona Ruritan.
His wife, Mary Lou (Sturgeon) Lease preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Paul Lease of Salem, Scott Lease of Salem, Dave Lease of Franklin, Va., DonLease of Alliance and Dan Lease of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Anna Jean Daugherty and Shirley; three brothers, Arnold, Richard and Donnie; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Lillian Hughes, also preceded him in death.
Services were held Jan. 9 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bush officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park.
