Over the past seven years, Uber has become a popular transportation network for dozens of cities around the world. Now, the company is expanding to a meal delivery service, according to The Wall Street Journal.
UberEats will offer food delivery to cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Austin. The UberEats app will list local restaurants’ menus for each city and customers will be able to place orders from the app, according to the newspaper. Uber drivers will then deliver the food.
In 2015, Uber offered lunchtime food delivery only in 12 cities.
