The Trumbull County Fair reserve champion market goat, weighing 86 pounds, was shown by Tate Smith and purchased by Diana Ashdown of Advanced Podiatry for $11.50 per pound.
Chloe Williams donated her carcass beef steer in order to start a scholarship in the name of former 4-H adviser and mentor Paul Aaron. The carcass steer sold for $4.50 a pound to Beck's Hybrids and several additional donations were made to the scholarship fund for a total of $11,518.
Sometimes it takes two to move a hog from place to place. Alexa Helman helps Clayton Thorniley take his hog, Tacino (which means bacon in Spanish), to and from the wash rack.
