URBANA, Ill. — A University of Illinois course, Advanced Dairy Management: Principles of Dairy Science, will be offered online beginning Sept. 8.
Mike Hutjens, Illinois Extension dairy specialist and coordinator of the class, said the class will cover calf and heifer management, business management, records, pasture systems, forages, facilities, nutrient management, genetics, and herd health.
Lectures are recorded with a live Internet class held during the 10-week class on Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. (CDT) Enrollees can participate for credit or noncredit.
