HARRISBURG, Pa. — Attendees at the 2015 Sunshine Farmers Conference March 3 and 4 at Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania will learn how natural systems work in order to farm in a way that benefits the environment and their customers.
Conference speakers will include keynote speaker Gail Fuller, a farmer from Emporia, Kansas; Greg Judy, a grazer from Clark, Missouri; Dr. Jonathan Lundgren, an insect ecologist and lead research entomologist at the USDA-ARS laboratory in Brookings, South Dakota; Scott Odle, president of Spectrum Non-GMO Seed, Linden, Indiana; Dr. Wendy Taheri, a microbial researcher specializing in arbiscular mychorriazal fungi; Dave Brandt, a cover crop expert and farmer from Carroll, Ohio; and Dr. Kristine Nichols, a microbiologist specializing in glomalin currently serving at Rodale Institute in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
General admission is $100 for one day and $200 for two days. Pennsylvania No-Till Alliance members’ cost is $75 for one day and $150 for two days.
Cost of membership is $25.
