San Mar Holsteins show grand champion

DOVER, Ohio — Exhibiting her openness, dairyness, and beautiful udder, San Mar Rustling Dur Mindy, winning aged cow and senior champion, also walked away with the grand champion banner at the District 3 Open Invitational Holstein Show held June 20 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds

Bred and owned by San Mar Holsteins, Mark and Sandy Bardall, Tippecanoe, Ohio, she is a daughter of Regancrest Elton Durham.

Judge Kevin Williams, well known Jersey breeder from McConnelsville, selected Lylehaven Lee Gina, second-place aged cow and reserve senior champion, as his reserve grand champion. Sired by Comestar Lee, she was exhibited bv the Mazzaro Family, Williamsfield, Ohio.

Beardsley Morty Email, winning senior 3-year old cow, was chosen to take home the intermediate champion banner. Sired by Stouder Morty, she was shown by Beardsley Holsteins, Salem, Ohio.

The reserve intermediate champion was Miss Mar Rustling Free Star, second-place senior 3-year-old, sired by Braedale Freelance and shown by San Mar Holsteins.

Open show

Junior champion female in the open show was Trealayne Roy Georgiana-Et, winning winter calf sired by Roylane Jordan and shown by Victoria Deam, Sugarcreek, Ohio.

Reserve junior champion was the Fall Calf, Pintail Point Darby, also sired by Jordan and shown by the Mazzaro family.

In the junior show, the intermediate and grand champion was Steam Valley Leduc Glory, the junior 3-year-old cow shown by Stacy Steel, Dover, Ohio, and sired by Lystel Leduc.

Reserve intermediate and reserve grand champion was Ree-Ray Lheros Calli, the senior 2-year-old cow shown by Renee Hershberger, Sugarcreek, Ohio. She is sired by Comestar Lheros.

Junior show

Junior champion in the junior show was the Winter Calf, Trealayne Roy Georgiana-ET shown by Victoria Deam, Sugarcreek, Ohio, sired by Jordan.
Reserve junior champion in the junior show was Miley Advent B Gem –Red, the winter yearling shown by Anna Miley, West Salem, Ohio, and sired by KHW Kite Advent-Red.

Showmanship

In the showmanship contest, age 13 years and under, first place went to Colton Harstine; second to Clay Hershberger; and third to Victoria Deam.
In the 14 and over contest, first-place went to Robin Alden; second to Stacy Steel; and third to Renee Harding.

Premier breeder and exhibitor was Hardingdale Holsteins, Larry Harding and family, New Philadelphia, Ohio.

The show was hosted by the District 3 Holstein Club. Curt Bohlen, Marietta, Ohio, was the show chairman.
