UTICA, Ohio — Utica FFA chapter participated in a virtual food science competition at the end of 2020. The team placed 48 out of 61 teams.

Three members participated in the virtual district job interview. Bella Ellis placed third and Chris Young and Brianne Priest both placed fourth in their respective age groups.

Last of all, 16 members attended the Virtual Leadership Night along with other chapters from different schools over Zoom.

HANOVERTON, Ohio — The United FFA chapter held its monthly meeting Jan. 13. At the meeting, they discussed eighth-grade recruitment and the Greenhand chapter ceremonies. The Greenhand ceremony will be held at the next meeting. The Greenhand is for freshmen who have been active members that know the duties and responsibilities of FFA members. They also must describe the FFA emblem, colors and symbols. There is also a ceremony for sophomores that meet certain requirements.
