CANFIELD, Ohio — The Mahoning County Junior Fair Board met at the Canfield Fairgrounds July 23. A group photo was taken with members wearing masks and keeping social distance.
During the meeting, the board discussed how to properly social distance at meetings and during the Canfield Junior Fair. Although the schedule will look very different in 2020, the Junior Fair Board members will still be working hard to have everything ready for the Junior Fair Livestock Shows. They are still brainstorming ideas for a social distancing family activity.
Youth Day will still take place as scheduled with the crowning of the 4-H king and queen and awarding the outstanding youth. The 5K Rooster Run will take place as a virtual race this year. Sign up information can be found at runsignup.com/Race/OH/Canfield/RoosterRunwalk.
Because of the rain, a junior fair board training was postponed to the next meeting Aug. 20.
