Roundup of 4-H news for April 13, 2017

CHARDON, Ohio — The Breeders and Feeders 4-H club met March 26 at 3 p.m. at the Munson Township Hall. The club started the meeting with a pizza party.

The club reviewed 4-H enrollment forms to make sure everyone was registered for the 2017 Geauga County Fair. The club also handed out the candy bars for the candy bar sale and decided to donate $50 to farmers hauling straw to midwestern states that were affected by the wildfire.

Kevin O’Reilly spoke about and answered questions on the new Veterinary Feed Directive that went into effect in January. Following the club meeting, there was a skating party.
The next meeting will be held April 23 at the Huntsburg Township Hall.

SALEM, Ohio — The Goshen Good Growers 4-H club met March 22, at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. The club donated $1,000 to the Mahoning County fair board to assist with construction of a new junior fair livestock facility.
