BARNESVILLE, Ohio — Dickinson Cattle Company, Barnesville, Ohio, won eight Championship Bronze during the annual Horn Showcase finals in Lawton, Oklahoma. This is the world’s largest cattle competition for horn data measuring.
The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America Horn Showcase is a horn measuring event with careful detail to tip to tip measurement, total horn, which measures around the curl, and horn base circumference.
Measurements are calculated to 1/16 of an inch by a team of experienced horn masters. Joel Dickinson received eight Horn Showcase Championship Bronze presented during the TLBAA awards banquet.

Famous cattle who captured awards owned by Dickinson Cattle Co. are Jam Packed, Clear Point, Rodeo Max and Clear Win.
Jam Packed won the national Horn Showcase competition with 85.875 inches Tip To Tip and Composite of 208.75 inches. She is 4, bred and raised by Dickinson Cattle Co.
Clear Point won all three divisions of Tip To Tip 89.0625 inches, Total Horn 111.125 inches, bases of 22.5 inches and 22.125 inches creating a composite Championship of 244.8125 inches.
Rodeo Max also won all three including the Composite. The Composite is the most valued as it is an indicator that the specimen is a total excellent quality.
The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of Fort Worth, Texas, hosts the annual Horn Showcase event. The largest horned cattle all over North America from Ponoka, Alberta, to Norco, California, to Texas to Florida to Ohio have satellite measuring regional contests.
Thousands of measurements have been calculated. A grandiose final event was staged in Lawton — with total entries from all 23 North American satellites.
