Alan Guebert’s Dec. 10 editorial “Take it to the non-bank bank” was spot on with its analysis of the likelihood of higher ethanol blend approval by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Thanks to the combined effort of a wide-range of agriculture groups and supporters, we will most likely see E15 be approved for consumers as early as August 2010. This is a good thing.
Increased ethanol will benefit Ohio farmers and our ethanol industry by creating more demand and leading to more employment.
It will also help our country break its dependence on foreign oil. Every gallon of ethanol we blend here in Ohio is one less gallon of fuel bought from dictatorships and countries that don’t support America.
