“Editor:
I am a 4-H’er in Trumbull County who sold animals in the livestock sale, which took place July 14. I was told it would take about 30 days for our checks to be delivered to my home. It is now Aug. 28 and I have yet to receive my check.
I have been told my check will not be sent out until all the buyers pay their bills from the sale.
I think it is wrong that the buyers go to the sale and buy animals to get their names or business advertised and don’t have the money to pay the bill, which means the 4-H’er who raised the animal does not get their check that they earned.
But the wrong thing is that the buyers have received their meat without paying their bills.
I believe the buyers should be red flagged and not allowed to buy at the sale anymore.
