Editor:
I would like to comment on the column written by Judith Sutherland in the Sept. 11 Farm and Dairy.
In her column, she encouraged her readers to go to www.FactCheck.org and see for themselves the truth about political rumors. I found one of the “facts” she repeated to be particularly troublesome to me, so I went online to see for myself.
According to FactCheck, Sarah Palin did not cut funds for special needs children. What Sarah Palin did do was sign a bill that will triple per-pupil funding. You can find this fact under the section called “Sliming Palin.”
I would encourage anyone who hears any of these rumors to go to www.FactCheck.org and read for yourself what the truth is and not rely on any TV reporter or columnist.
The truth is far too important to let anyone else do your thinking for you.

Thanks for this. I really enjoy the fact that they’re bipartisan and cite their sources.
