WOOSTER, Ohio — The Ohio Heartland Sheep Improvement Association is sponsoring a lambing school May 10 at the OARDC Sheep Facility, located at 5651 Fredericksburg Road (County Road 501), Wooster.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the program getting underway at 9 a.m.
The morning session will be presented by Kirsten Mierzwiak, of Berlin Vet Clinic, discussing nutrition, flock health and lambing protocol.
Rory Lewandowski, OSU Extension Educator, Agriculture and Natural Resources, will present at refresher course on Famacha protocol.
The afternoon session will be held in the lambing shed, practicing techniques learned in the morning session.
The cost is $20 per person, students 16 and under $10. The registration fee includes lunch and materials. The deadline for advanced registrations is May 6, but walk-ins are welcome.
