Juniors show champion lambs at Farm Show

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Brittani Hook from Union County showed a 149-pound crossbred lamb to beat out more than 200 other exhibitors for grand champion market lamb honors Jan. 5 at the 98th Pennsylvania Farm Show.

Brynlin Carey of Lycoming County showed the reserve grand champion market lamb with a 159-pound Hampshire.

Other junior market lamb champions include:

Hampshire: reserve, Nate Binkley, Lancaster Co.

Shropshire: champion, Renee Svonavec, Somerset Co.; reserve, Gina Shaffer, Fayette Co.

Southdown: champion, Kurt Ench, Lancaster Co.; reserve, Jayme Zimmerman, Lancaster Co.

Suffolk: champion, Megan Anderson, Bedford Co.; reserve, Kelsey Price, Bedford Co.

Champion All Other Breeds: Heidi Barkley, Bedford Co.; reserve, Aubrey Moon of Somerset Co.

Lightweight: champion, Sadie Richter, Fayette Co.; reserve, Abigail Reiff, Lancaster Co.

Middleweight: champion and reserve champion crossbred, Zach McCann of Export, Westmoreland Co.; reserve, Steven Hook III, Union Co.

Light Heavyweight: champion, Ayla Chapman of Enon Valley, Lawrence Co.; reserve, Bailey Keffer of Connellsville, Fayette Co.

Heavyweight: champion, Brittani Hook; reserve, Katee Latshaw, Somerset Co.
