JEFFERSON, Ohio — OSU Extension will hold a hay production school April 16 from 9:30-3 p.m. at the Ashtabula County Extension office, 39 Wall St., in Jefferson.
Topics include pasture and hay fertility, general hay management guidelines, hay cutting management, weed identification, forage selection, hay renovation and forage species identification.
The program includes classroom and a hay field diagnostic walk at the Honkonen Farm. Featured speakers include Clif Little, Rory Lewandowski, David Marrison and Les Ober from OSU Extension.
The registration fee is $20 per person and includes lunch and program handouts. Reservations are requested by April 8.
