This year’s Harrison County Fair grand champion dairy feeder was exhibited by Drew Dawson. His calf, weighing 552 pounds, sold for $2.25 a pound to Wayne Falb for Carrollton Livestock Auction. Also pictured is fair royalty Joelle Jones.
The Harrison County Fair grand champion market duck project was exhibited by Abby Keller and purchased for $1,400 by Tina and Don Jones of D&J Sales and Service. Keller also won senior market duck showmanship, market duck showman of showmen, and outstanding senior market duck exhibitor with her 12.42-pound project.
The Harrison County grand champion goat project was raised by Grayden Sproull. The 80-pound goat was purchased by Mike Toland of Toland Trucking and Amy Burger, Amber Baumberger and Holly Lestrange of WesBanco for $1,200.
The Harrison County grand champion market hog was raised by Grayden Sproull, who also won junior market hog showmanship, market hog showman of showmen and outstanding junior market hog exhibitor. At 285 pounds, the hog sold for $10 a pound to Tina and Jon Jones of D&J Sales and Service.
The Harrison County Fair grand champion market lamb was shown by Stephanie Birney. Paris Washington Insurance, represented by Hunter Palmer, paid $21 a pound for the 144-pound champion. Birney also exhibited the champion pen of two market lambs and was the outstanding senior market lamb exhibitor.
The Harrison County Fair grand champion pen of three market rabbits, weighing 13 pounds, was shown by Summer Meller and purchased by Mike Toland of Toland Trucking for $550. Meller was also the winner of junior market showmanship and outstanding junior market exhibitor.
Alayna Kellar won the grand champion market steer project honors. Her 1,385-pound steer sold for $3.75 a pound to Joe Orr of Damian Kovarik at this year’s Harrison County Fair.
Kaci Carter sold her 39.6 pound grand champion market turkey for $1,000 to Darrin Young of D&E Electric and Mike Toland of Toland Trucking. Carter also won senior market turkey showmanship, market turkey showman of showmen and outstanding senior market turkey exhibitor at this year’s Harrison County Fair.
The reserve champion pen of two market chickens was raised by Kaci Carter of Harrison County. Also winning senior market chicken showmanship, market chicken showman of showmen and outstanding senior market chicken exhibitor, Carter sold her 20.88 pound project for $850 to (L-R) Mike Toland of Toland Trucking, Jody Hyde, Darrin Young of D&E Electric, Joe Myers and Dave Peadon.
The reserve champion dairy feeder was exhibited by Ryan Arbaugh, who also won outstanding junior feeder calf exhibitor. The calf, weighing 563 pounds, sold for $3 a pound to Chuck and Linda Parker of Parker Farms and Insurance.
Grayden Sproull exhibited the Harrison County Fair reserve champion market duck, which weighed 14.92 pounds and sold for $600 to Darrin and Ericka Young of D&E Electric. Sproull also brought home the award for outstanding junior market duck exhibitor.
Alex Chrisman raised this year’s Harrison County reserve champion beef feeder heifer, weighing 449 pounds. The calf sold for $4 a pound to Jon Jones of D&J Sales and Service.

Taylor Horn raised the Harrison County reserve champion market goat. The goat, weighing 83 pounds, sold for $675 to Roger Morrison of Lashley Tractor Sales.
Joelle Jones exhibited the Harrison County reserve champion market hog, weighing 285 pounds. The hog sold for $10 a pound to Young Cattle Company and Dutton Cattle Company, represented by Madison Young and Dick Young.

Noah Smith exhibited the 12.98 pound reserve champion pen of three market rabbits at the Harrison County Fair, which was bought for $550 by Christy Davis and Jason Dunlap of RD Swine.
Taylor Horn exhibited the reserve champion market steer, weighing in at 1,343 pounds. The steer sold for $3.75 a pound to Hunter Palmer, representing Paris Washington Insurance.
The Harrison County Fair reserve champion market turkey was shown by Garrett Bossell, who also took home the award for outstanding intermediate market turkey exhibitor. The 40.8-pound turkey sold for $1,000 to Clint and Alice Barr of the Clark Kirkland Funeral Home.
