CHARDON, Ohio — Geauga Park District has several fishing spots across 11 of its properties. Fishing is permitted with a current Ohio fishing license, and those seeking information about fishing in the parks can visit geaugaparkdistrict.org.

Details posted here include location tips, inhabiting species and a link to the Fishing in Geauga Park District Facebook group. The district recently stocked three park ponds: Beartown Lakes Reservation’s Middle Bear Lake, Big Creek Park’s Tupelo Pond and Swine Creek Reservation’s Lodge Pond.

The district will have a second round of stocking this fall at Beartown Lakes Reservation’s Lower Bear Lake.
