Forget cars. Combine demolition derby is for real thrills

The combine demolition derby has been thrilling crowds at the Columbiana County Fair in Lisbon, Ohio, for years. It’s a fight to the end, with the last combine running — with the header intact — named the winner.

This year, combine demolition derby veteran Nick Cresanto, formerly of Columbiana County and now of Brookfield, Ohio, won bragging rights, with second place going to Greg Smith.

The crowd favorite, however, was the pink combine driven by Tony Watson of New Waterford.

Check out this slide show of photos from this year’s combine demolition derby, Aug. 8.
