CHILLICOTHE, Ohio —Four members of the Zane Trace FFA chapter traveled to Lancaster High School Feb. 11 to participate in the District 7 Ag Sales contest. This year’s team was made up of Nathanael Freeman, Ann Shelby, Kevin Daubenmire and Olivia Pflaumer.

 
More than 780 people attended the Zane Trace FFA’s 37th annual sausage breakfast, in cooperation with area farmers, where more than $3,500 in donations was collected.

 
The donations will be given to Children’s Hospital, the Ross County Junior Fair and the Zane Trace FCCLA scholarship fund.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Northwestern FFA chapter members competed in the sub-district public speaking contest Feb. 11 held at Minerva.

 
Coming in first and advancing the district contest Feb. 24 were, Mary Baker, Kierstyn Wood and Kaci Way.

 
Mykenzie Synder placed second in this division and will also advance to the district contest.

NEW WASHINGTON, Ohio — Buckeye Central FFA students participated in the Crawford County tractor troubleshooting contest Feb. 10.

 
Each county FFA Chapter had two teams consisting of two students.

 
Buckeye Central’s first team consisted of Jaret Shook and Justin Showman. Buckeye’s other team consisted of Alex Fike and Jordan Stockmaster.

 
The contest took place at Doug Phenicie’s house.

 
The contest consisted of four tractor troubleshooting stations, one testing station and a tool I.D. station.
Shook and Showman received second place, while Fike and Stockmaster received sixth.

 
Shook and Showman will represent Buckeye Central at the district contest Feb. 27 at Lorain County J.V.S.
