JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — This year, the Hillsdale FFA chapter sent its equine judging team to Fort Worth, Texas, where members attended the World Championship Paint Horse Show and participated in the youth judging contest.

Team members Ashley Pickering, Kristen Deter, and Brittani Baldner-Hill earned the trip by placing fourth at the state competition.

While in Fort Worth, the team and adviser Lindsay Bowen toured Down the Rail Ranch, which boards world famous Zips Chocolate Chip. They also toured Babcock Ranch and an embryo transfer veterinary clinic where they assisted in ultrasounding a horse.

The team also went to a rodeo, toured the Fort Worth Stock Yard, and attended the Pawnee Bill Wild West Show.
