WASHINGTON, Pa. — The Clover Patch 4-H club held the second Chesapeake Energy Giant Pumpkin Contest Oct. 8 at the Washington County 4-H Junior Building at the Washington County Fairgrounds. One hundred people attended the contest and 73 4-H members entered the pumpkin contest.
Prizes were awarded for best decorated, heaviest, and other miscellaneous categories. Winners were:

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Farm Friends 4-H Club built the Wayne County Fair Gingerbread House.
The club, participated in a community service project, “Sweet Creations: Gingerbread House Display.” They created a gingerbread house constructed to look like the Wayne County Fair.
The gingerbread house includes a tea cup ride, a pretzel stand and even a sheep show. The gingerbread house is on display at the “Sweet Creations” exhibit at George Eastman House for the holiday season, from Nov.10 through Dec.15 at George Eastman House, 900 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607.
