Feb. 11 meeting covers all angles of land protection

PENINSULA, Ohio — The Countryside Conservancy, in collaboration with Western Reserve RC&D, Ohio Department of Agriculture, Western Reserve Land Conservancy and Hiram College Center for the Study of Nature and Society, will present a land protection resource meeting Feb. 11.

The meeting runs 6-9 p.m. at the Hiram College Kennedy Center Ballroom, located at 11730 Garfield Road, Hiram.

Agenda

The discussion will center on agricultural districts, agricultural security areas, AEPP, and WRP.

The second hour of the meeting will be a networking hour, including time for questions and local refreshments. At 8 p.m. will be presentations concerning CAUV qualifications and maintenance and information about the Countryside Conservancy’s FarmLink program.

All current farmland owners, future farm owners, SWCD staff, planners and elected officials are encouraged to attend. There is no cost for this event.
