UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – An introduction to anaerobic digesters and the risks and benefits of adopting this technology on a dairy will be the topic of a free webinar July 13 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., EDT.
The live webinar session will feature two presentations that explore anaerobic digestion and the economics of using a digester.
Intro and economics.
Patrick Topper, senior research technologist with Penn State’s Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, will present Biogas 101: An Introduction to On-Farm Anaerobic Digestion.
Participants will learn the basics of AD, including how digesters operate and the equipment that is required.
Brad Hilty, information management specialist with Penn State Dairy Alliance, will examine the economics of anaerobic digester technology.
The webinar series is designed for dairy producers, dairy managers, and agribusiness professionals.
