Bottled water recalled after E. coli detected in water source

Niagara Bottling, LLC has recalled spring water products at both of its Pennsylvania bottling facilities due to the detection of E. Coli at the water source, Food Safety News reports.

The recalled water was produced at the Allentown and Hamburg facilities. So far, no reports of illness or injury have been received. The bottled water was sold under a number of names including Acme, 7-Eleven, Niagara and Wegmans. The water was sold at Wegmans, ShopRite, 7-Eleven, Acme and others.

The recalled water has codes beginning with “A” or “F.” The number following the letter indicates the production line number. Then the date (day, month in letters and year) follow. All water bottled between June 10 and June 18 is part of the recall.
