Auction Roundup: Kiko auctions in January feature guns, instruments

CANTON, Ohio — KIKO auctioneers held 37 auctions in January 2012.

Auction highlights from the New Years auction, conducted by auctioneer Randall Kiko, included a JD 404 tractor that sold for $19,000, a Kobelco Mark IV 200 excavator went for $30,000 and a buyer paid $17,000 for a Case 850C dozer.

A 15-foot Landoll Soil Finisher sold for $16,500, a Penta TMR mixer went for $16,000 and a NH 740 round baler was sold at $16,750. The auction had 1,500 registered buyers.

The Jan. 7 Buckeye Event Center Musical Instrument & Antiques Auction was conducted by auctioneer Jack Kiko. Highlights of the auction were a Lot #12 Selmer soprano saxophone that sold for $880, a buyer paid $742 for a Lot #13 Conn soprano saxophone and a Lot #14 Conn alto saxophone went for $880.

Other instruments sold included a Lot #15 Buffet clarinet that sold at $960 and a Lot #16 Buffet clarinet that went for $880.

A Lot #117 16s 21 Jewel Waltham Vanguard watch sold for $630.

Auction highlights from the Jan. 17 County Auction Barn Gun Auction, conducted by auctioneer Eric Bevington, were a Winchester Model 42 pump shotgun .410 that sold for $1600, a Winchester Model 21 Trap Grade 12ga that went for $5,800 and a Winchester Model 37 28ga that sold for $1,200.

A buyer paid $2,600 for a Winchester Model 70 257 Roberts rifle.
