COLUMBUS — The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association will hold its 31st annual conference, “Growing with Integrity, Eating with Intention,” Feb. 13-14 in Granville, Ohio. The pre-conference is Feb. 12.
The conference will feature more than 50 informative, hands-on workshops, exhibitors, a fun and educational kids’ conference, homemade meals featuring local organic foods, a child care area and Saturday evening entertainment.
Keynote speakers
Keynote speakers are Joel Salatin and Chef Ann Cooper.
Joel Salatin was featured in this summer’s release, Food, Inc., and in Michael Pollan’s The Omnivore’s Dilemma. Speaker and author, Joel Salatin is one of the best-known farmers of the sustainable food movement.
Chef Ann Cooper is an author, activist, chef, and self-professed renegade lunch lady who is transforming cafeterias into culinary classrooms for students, one school lunch at a time.
At The Ross School in East Hampton, N.Y., Chef Cooper served as the executive chef and director of wellness and nutrition, developing an integrated school lunch curriculum centered on regional, organic, seasonal and sustainable meals.
