CARROLLTON, Ohio — The second in a series of three agronomy workshops will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Carrollton Ponderosa on state Route 43.
Production issues
The Carroll Soil & Water Conservation District and the USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service are teaming up with Roger Thomas of Thomas Ag Consulting to offer local crop producer workshops geared towards addressing current crop production issues.
This workshop will focus on flying on cover crops, plant population and spacing for corn and soybeans, and cover crop options for your rotation.
Dinner is at your expense from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the back conference room.
Plan ahead
March 6 will be the date for the third workshop. It will feature Mark Loux an OSU Extension specialist in weed science.
