WEST SALEM, Ohio — Northwestern FFA will collect clean Christmas trees beginning at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 5.

People living in Lea Crest Estates, High Point, or in the villages of New Pittsburg, Lattasburg, Pleasant Home, Congress and West Salem may leave clean trees at the curb in front of their homes for free pickup.

Anyone interested in recycling Christmas trees and does not live in one of the villages may drop off their trees at the New Pittsburg Park pavilion or at the West Salem School basketball court.

Northwestern FFA does not collect on rural routes. The FFA will deliver the trees to the West Salem Beagle Club for the protection of rabbits and other wildlife. This community service will act as a conservation project.

If you have any questions regarding the project, call the Northwestern High School FFA at 419-846-3384, ext. 1043 or ext. 1317.
