Hello from Hazard!
We received two more guesses on item No. 826. Randy Winland concurs that it is, indeed, a “Blue Nose Rug Hooker” and he has one in his collection. But Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Miller of Middlefield, Ohio, guessed that it’s a cherry pitter. Perhaps it can be used as both!

Last week’s item, No. 827, came from Wayne Cooper of Fombell, Pa., and our one response was from Ronald Hoffman of Moundsville, W.Va. He called to say it’s used to install tongue-and-groove flooring to tighten the wood. He said it can also be used to straighten house siding. Do you agree?

No. 828 is from the collection of Edward Wanchock of Sewickley, Pa. The cast-iron piece measures 11 5/8 inches long and we’ll give you a hint: It was made in Wooster, Ohio. Do you know what it is?
