Hello from Hazard!
Item No. 865 proved to be a popular one (or an easy one)!
Charles Sproul of St. Clairsville, Ohio; Eli Miller of Mesopotamia, Ohio; and Gene Baker of Zoarville, Ohio, all a guessed it is a timber scribe. Sproul said he even has one in his collection.
Steve Muir of Johnstown, Ohio, and John Watson said it resembles a hoof knife used by farriers and veterinarians to trim horse hoofs or soles.
Thanks to all who responded and thanks to William Shriber of Hartville, Ohio, for submitting the item!

Item No. 866
Answers are flying in for Item No. 866. Man, you guys are good!
We received five quick responses to our newest item.
Carl Webster; Reva Montgomery of Lordstown, Ohio; Beth Bowen of Hartville; Phil Rider of Moon Township, Pa.; and Gayle Bartchy of Salem, Ohio, all guessed a Monta Mower Co. lawn mower.
Bowen said she has a copy of an old advertisement for Monta Mowers out of Reminisce magazine. She also owns one of the mowers.
Webster says it is a push-type mower, but not a reel type mower and it has round, sharp tooth disks that cut the grass.
Jason Michaels of Mercer, Pa., shared this item with us.
Thanks Jason and thanks to all who responded so quickly!
