Hello from Hazard!
“Oh, Hazard,” writes Kenny Edwards, from Delaware, Ohio, “this one is much too easy!”
Edwards also knew Item No. 879 was a hat stretcher, which we revealed last week.
We also, however, had readers who suspected it might have been also used as a pants stretcher. So, we repeat our question: Can the same gizmo be used for both purposes? It’s hard to tell from the photograph, since we don’t have any dimensions. Or were there two different, but similar, tools?
Our thanks to Mr. Edwards and the other readers, identified last week, who were quick to respond!

Joyce Talbert hazard-ed a guess that Item No. 880, first shown last week, is a jar opener. Scott Moody, from Albany, Ohio, who went in the photo pondered that possibility when he sent in the photo, but thinks the “teeth” are too large and widely spaced for that use.
The tool is solid aluminum.
Moody and his brother, who both have large collections of kitchen gadgets and farm tools, are stumped, so we’ll turn to Hazard fans another week.
