Hello from Hazard!
Or should I say “HapHazard”, because that’s what it feels like after off-again, on-again columns because of the early Veterans Day deadline, and then another early deadline for Thanksgiving.
Whenever we have an early deadline, we’re doing production on the next paper sometimes even before you get the previous week’s issue, so it makes for some confusion.
To recap: Item No. 876, submitted by Wayne Cooper, of Fombell, Pa., received only one response. Randy Winland, of Prospect, Ohio, said it might be a tool to set snap-type buttons on clothing.
We’ll show it here again this week, but then it heads to the big Hazard-land in the sky.

Item No. 877 was sent in by Wayne Franks, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. Any guesses on what it is?
Again, we received only one response. James Cogar, of Canton, Ohio, says it is a saw set for a two-man cross-cut saw. The two lugs on the bottom are driven down in a stump in the field, and the sawtooth is hammered down on the top.
Can anyone confirm or refute his answer?
